Main Event in Linz: Sharing non-formal educational Practices💡
The main youth event, part of the Minimal & Functional KA210 E+ project (with our amazing partners @vereinmuse and @eycb.info ), occurred in Linz, Austria, between 02 and 06 April.
More about the project can be found on the coordinator's website, Verein MUSE, HERE
From April 2nd to 6th, Zara and Rado (CEGE team) had the opportunity to participate and co-facilitate in the main event of the Minimal Functional Project, hosted in the vibrant city of Linz, Austria. This gathering marked a significant step in the project's journey, following successful exchanges in Sofia, Bulgaria and Brno, Czechia.
Unlike the previous visits, the Linz event focused not on observing good practices, but on testing them directly with participants through a series of interactive workshops. These workshops were designed around key themes of the project and aimed to promote active citizenship, creative expression, and practical life skills.
Among the highlights was a Media Content Creation workshop, where participants explored storytelling and visual communication strategies. In the Financial Literacy session, young people engaged with everyday financial concepts through the game "Daily Choices for Functional Life". We also had a fun and engaging European “Pub” Quiz, testing knowledge on European history, culture, and institutions. A particularly memorable part of the event was the European Parliament Role Play.
Additionally, sessions on mindfulness and the art of improvisation offered participants tools to manage stress, boost creativity, and enhance communication skills.
These workshops were not only well-received but also provided a valuable opportunity to test our educational practices in a real environment.
The Linz event was a vivid reminder of the power of collaborative learning and the importance of creating inclusive spaces for young people to explore, experiment, and grow. We’re excited to share the next steps soon!
Building on this success, we are now developing a ToolKit that will include detailed guides and resources for replicating the workshops. This will be accompanied by a project website, aiming to make the materials accessible to educators, youth workers, and organizations across Europe.
