CEGE held a webinar on the basics of Creating and distributing own media content

On January 26, at 7 p.m., the CEGE association team (Radoslav and Svetozara) held a completely free webinar on “Creating and distributing your own media content”. The participants in the webinar had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on the topic, they also received a bonus – a template for preparing a “Social media plan”.

The media environment is a field for sharing information, news, discussions, and sometimes for spreading disinformation. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of what it includes and how to navigate it, especially if we want to create our own content to share with the right audience.

Thanks to what was presented in the first part of the webinar, the participants learned what it is to be media literate, what the media ecosystem is, and what the distribution channels and media content formats are. We also discussed the importance of a well-chosen target audience, as well as key concepts in getting a message across.

In the second part of the webinar, we got down to the nitty-gritty of media content creation and distribution, participants were shown online platforms and tools that enabled them to complete every step of the process. We also talked about analyzing data and the importance of fact-checking.
