Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our modern times. Thanks to it, we can generate texts, images, etc., which are useful to many people in carrying out their tasks at work. Artificial intelligence has directly affected many professional fields, and it is extremely important to have discussions about the advantages of using it as a tool, but also about the potential risks of doing so.
In the news and journalism sector, artificial intelligence is capable of revolutionizing the production and presentation of journalistic materials, but its implementation also carries certain risks.
The World Press Institute in partnership with the Association of European Journalists - Bulgaria and the support of the "America for Bulgaria" Foundation brought together leading journalists and experts who explore these and other topics during the "New Horizons in Journalism 2023" conference, which took place in Astoria Grand Hotel Sofia, Bulgaria on November 8, 2023.
During the conference, in which our representative Radoslav Bogoev took part, after the presentations of the special guests, three panel discussions were held on the topics: "Using the potential: How journalists can apply artificial intelligence in their work", "Generative Artificial Intelligence: Risks, Responsibilities and Research' and 'Newsroom Innovation: Opportunities in the Information Age'.
