Daily Choices for Functional Life is a board game based on role-playing and financial literacy. It was developed during the “Minimal & Functional” project, a project implemented under the Erasmus+ KA210 with the coordinating organization - VereinMuse, based in Austria. Change, Explore, and Grow by Exchange is a partner organization in this project.
More about this project can be found in our blog - M&F in Bulgaria, M&F in Czechia, M&F in Austria (coming soon).
The game Daily Choices for Functional Life aims to help young people develop practical financial literacy skills by placing them in relatable, real-life scenarios. Through interactive decision-making, the game encourages participants to:
Understand the basics of budgeting, saving, and responsible spending.
Recognize the long-term impact of impulsive versus rational financial choices.
Explore the risks and benefits of credit use, including fast vs. structured consumer credit.
Reflect on how financial decisions affect overall well-being, stress levels, and future opportunities.
The winning team is not the one with the most financially literate choices but the one with the answers most similar to the choices that their character would have made.
Ultimately, the game empowers players to make smarter, more sustainable choices in their personal and financial lives.
